Game of War: Fire Age
If you’ve watched any television recently, there’s no way you could miss the slew of Game of Thrones-inspired commercials for Game of War: Fire Age, featuring supermodel Kate Upton and pop superstar Mariah Carey. The advertisements must work, because the game is continually in the top 10 of most downloaded games in the Google Play Store and the iOS App Store. The game itself is rather addicting, with gameplay similar to Age of Empires and the classic WarCraft series. Players attempt to build a city, and build an army to protect the inhabitants and/or attack neighboring cities. With a heavy emphasis on building alliances with other online players, the game is available in 32 languages, and features translation powered by Microsoft and Google Translate – players can form an allegiance with other players across the world. Although the game relies a bit heavily on in-app purchases, playing is absolutely still fun without spending any money. This time-waster is certainly worth a download.
Game of War: Fire Age is available free at the iTunes Store and the Google Play Store
